I’m one for seasonal essentials – if you are a usual CIC reader, you know I’m all about a good theme. I like gifts as themes, apartments as themes – seasonally, food as themes, everything. The couch goes from summer pillows to winter pillows on the dot. I’m all for parties and dinners so I can buy the pineapple napkins to scream summer at my friends, as if they didn’t already know it was 90 degrees out.
With that comes candles, food, cups, a seasonal dog collar, annnnd just about anything else you can think of.
Most of my apartment is Amazon based.. and HomeGoods.. and random shops that have the cutest coasters.. and so on. But, we do love good Amazon deliveries over here.
So, of course, my summer essentials so far, right from Amazon:
+ liquid aminos – we are huge sushi eaters at our home (for some reason, more when it’s nice out) and this has it’s very own spot in our kitchen cabinet. It’s the ultimate soy sauce replacement, and it makes a great sauce or dressing!
+ mushroom coffee – These are a favorite because all you have to do is mix a packet into water and call it a day. I keep these in my purse and add them to ice water during the day if I need a pick me up. (Saves money on all that coffee you buy throughout the days – trust me.)
+ goat milk soap – This soap will make your skin super soft with a summer scent. They are perfect for your sink area or the shower – giving off the perfect summer decor vibe to spice up your bathroom.
+ pick me up – A book where you fill in blanks, like being a kid again. Summer brings back memories from years ago, and this book fills the voids. It’s an adult version of a fill-in-the-blank book. Perfect for the beach, the couch, or the airport. Anywhere, really.
+ scented lemon soy candle – Can you say summer? Lemons, lemons, lemons. The perfect candle to give your kitchen (or any room) the summer touch. Smelling delicious, of course!
+ green tea sunscreen – Alba is a favorite brand of mine, and sunscreen is a must for me. I’m all about reapplying and reapplying again – and I mean all the time. I go with alba because it spreads on good (I’m picky about that) and it has green tea antioxidants with aloe vera – total win.
