Happy loooong weekend! Quick post today about some serious ish.
How are you doing? I’m currently in Maine, sitting on the deck, full from a bomb smoothie this morning, a little cold because Fall is deciding to make its move a little to fast this year but it’s okay it’s okay, while writing. So life is GOOD.
I wanted to share a serious matter with you guys.
Like, super serious.
YUP mhm – you read that right. I am addicted, which is weird because I’ve had A LOT (a lot, a lot) of trouble keeping plants alive in the past. But the past is the past for a reason!!! One of our window sills in our apartment living room is the ‘plant section’ or better yet – krissy’s corner – a row of 6 small plants so far. PLUS the cutest watering can (makes for great decor!)
The window sill line up: a mini cactus, aloe, some sort of green and pink mixed thing, mint, basil, and an orchid.
I am getting kind of psycho about them – which I don’t suggest and I don’t know why I’m like that – but if you follow on snap you probably know this.
The other night Bill shut the window on one of them and broke a piece off. Horrible. It took me like 24 hours to get over it. But – it was the aloe vera plant and I ended up rubbing it all over my skin, so it was actually a good time LOL.
Alright SO, benefits of plants in your house. Shall we?
+ They reduce carbon dioxide and increase oxygen levels – a complete refresh!
+ Plants actually release almost all of the water they take in, which if you have a few plants all together can create an increase in the humidity. A natural humidifier, uh yes.
+ They help reduce those household sore throats and coughs!
+ They remove toxins and clean the air.
I mean, I’m not obsessed for no reason.
They look great, they provide positive vibes, and they have super good benefits.
I literally walk into Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s for some almond butter and walk out with five more plants. So that’s that.
Happy Sunday, chicks x
