One of the best things you can give someone is an Amazon gift card.
If you’re a usual Status Salty reader, you know how I feel about Amazon – if you aren’t a usual reader, WELCOME, and get ready to hear about Amazon a lot.
I know, you know – you can order almost everything off of Amazon now. I even ordered a pair of Adidas shoes off of there. Food, clothes, bags, whatever you want. Amazon is your go-to. It’s also taking over the world. Not mad about it. Just my thoughts.
I mean, who doesn’t love a good old jar of natural almond butter delivered to there door in a day or two?
SO – having some Amazon gift cards to rev my engines a little bit more, I figured I’d do a post on my favorite winter must-haves you can get right from your computer and (of course) if you have Prime, see them at your door like.. er.. tomorrow? YES, PLEASE.
You probably know by now, but I am very, very, very into skincare.
Maybe it’s the science-loving-geek side of me, but I can’t stand the thought of ruining the protective layer of your body. GAH. I know. Science-y shit. But I mean, think about it. I also cringe at dry skin (especially my hands). So skincare has always been a huge thing for me – winter being the TOP season to really step up my skincare game.
I’ve said this before and so hasn’t almost every health and beauty obsessed person out there, H2O is your best friend. Drink.water.all.day.long. Every hour try to have a glass or at least half a glass. It isn’t only GOOD FOR YOU and your health, but your skin will be glowing. Trust me.
Alright, let’s do this.
AMAZON WINTER MUST-HAVES:
SOVEREIGN SILVER – This little bottle is an immune system saver. It’s going to boost your immune system a ton and is MUCH better for you than antibiotics – you can read more about it here. I add about 6 drops some to my smoothies when I’m getting ready to travel that week or when I’m starting to feel sick.
HUMIDIFIER – UM, HAVE YOU HEARD? I rave about this thing on insta stories and snap all.the.time. I call it my beauty machine because it literally beautifies you as you sleep. I keep mine on HIGH right next to my bed – which blows moisturized air at you SO STRONG. It has a nighttime and low setting, I just like it to give me all the moisture I can get. You will feel super refreshed, have moisturized and glowing skin, PLUS you’ll have less viruses traveling in your air. All around win-win.
THE BEST EVER HAND CREAM BY BURT’S BEES – I’ve raved about this hand butter before because it’s just the best, ever. Like I said before, dry hands make me cringe (x 100). I’m insane about washing my hands so I’m asking for them to be dry in the winter. This cream is super thick, almost like a body butter, and it gives your hands this subtle glow that I love. It’s almost like a dewy look, but for your hands? Hands are very easy to age and have thinner skin than most areas of your body – keep that in mind. And keep those paws moisturized!
COCONUT OIL FOR YOUR SHOWER – I keep a jar of coconut oil in my kitchen AND in my shower. Why? I use it for oil pulling on my teeth while I shower, for a pre-shave moisturizer and also as a moisturizer for after I’m done showering. I dry off just a little bit in the shower, leaving my skin pretty damp with some water still on me, then apply coconut oil everywhere but my face. It’s major in the winter when my skin is feeling dry. It helps to keep your skin damp before applying so that it can seal that moisture in!
SPF HAND CREAM – Always, always apply SPF hand cream before leaving the house!!! I keep SPF hand lotion in my bag at all times because PSA, sunscreen is NOT just for the summer people! The sun can actually be insanely intense on your skin with the glare in the winter and you want to protect your skin as much as you can while, of course, moisturizing.
SIMPLE MODERN TRAVEL MUG – I love a good water bottle and travel mug, especially a cute one. This one is a favorite for winter when I’m running around and need to take my coffee on-the-go. Just slip some BPA free straws in there to reduce stains and call it a day.
TEXTING GLOVES – Let’s be real, texting gloves are a game changer. You know, those gloves you don’t have to pull off to unlock your phone. Yeah, those ones. TIP: put lotion on your hands right before your gloves for some extra moisturizing goodness!
GEL SOCKS – Ok, hear me out. This sounds kind of weird, but I got into the habit of putting oil all over my feet and then slipping socks on before bed. (You can use olive oil you already have!) My feet are super soft in the morning, which I LOVE. I just hate those cracked heels all winter long. Then I found socks that have essential oil in them and are meant to heal your cracked feet. SO DUH. Here I am, ordering socks on Amazon.
Anything else? Am I missing stuff? Let me know!
K babes, I’m off to get my nails done because I need to keep these paws looking fresh, you know?
