If you have been reading Status Salty for awhile, then you know I love a good smoothie.
I make smoothies all the time, and I even have a ‘smoothie cabinet’ where I keep all of my main smoothie ingredients together and handy to make my time in the kitchen that much easier.
I’m not the best.. er.. chef. I’m more of a quick cook, you know? I will never be a housewife, let’s just put it that way. Unless BA is looking for some lettuce and smoothies every night, I’m not taking the trophy wife award home with me. BUT! I am a pro at quick meals, I promise.
Being in the kitchen for too long just doesn’t do it for me, probably because I’m not good at it. I give MUCH credit to the cooks out there!
I wanted to share a quick smoothie recipe today because I feel like it’s been awhile. Don’t you?
I’m still making them pretty much daily and lately I’ve been LOVING matcha – OH, did you see the is your coffee sabotaging your skin post yesterday? I have basically replaced coffee with matcha – not always, but a good amount of the time.
Matcha is crazy good for you and it gives you that energy you need in the AM, you know how that goes.
SO. Matcha in my smoothie, HI. A matcha smoothie! Way healthier than a matcha latte and you’re getting breakfast plus caffeine all in one. Whoever came up with that whole idea.. genius.
OK, ready? Let’s make some matcha smoothies.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
+ a spoonful of matcha!
+ 1-2 cups of nut milk (I use almond)
+ banana (frozen)
WHAT TO DO:
+ blend that baby up
There you go, all done. The exact reason I love smoothies, they are that quick.
Currently about to go make mine before I finish packing – enjoy my baby babes.
