NYC is one of my favorite cities to visit. I used to live there when I went to NYU, obviously, and I actually hated it at first. It was um.. difficult to get used to. And visiting can actually be more difficult and overwhelming because you feel like there is so much to do and see in so little time.
It took me a good month or so to really like New York. Then I loved it. Then I was obsessed.
I moved back to Boston after graduating, but I wouldn’t say my plans on living in Manhattan again are out of the question. You never know what life will throw at you, you know? And I can take hustle and bustle with pretty views all.damn.day.long.
Ok SO, be prepared for a NYC blog post after the weekend. I try to make sure I’m going to different places when I’m there and I love to give you guys the scoop. Stay tuned!
Anyway, I wanted to give you a quick guide on what I’m packing. 1. because sometimes I need to write down what I’m packing so I can pack easier and 2. packing sucks and I have learned what is necessary when you’re headed to a big city in cold weather.
HATS AND GLOVES:
MAJOR! A BACKPACK – you’ll thank me later. This one fits my laptop and camera so I was all in.
BAGS. Clutches or shoulder bags are key when traveling because they fit perfectly in your suitcase and they’re perfect for day to night things.
BOOTS AND SNEAKERS! You want warm ones, too. Trust me. Cute black combat boots are a serious go-to when it’s cold because you can walk in them easily with warm feet and they’re comfortable.
COMFORT – because you will want to cuddle up in the hotel bed.
NECESSATIES. A silk pillow case is coming with me to NYC to protect my skin and hair – NO JOKE. These things are game changers, especially if you get a blowout!
I also like to make sure I bring my favorite skincare products and things like a dry brush because my skin tends to get sensitive when traveling.
What else? TIPS?
